Flowers and chocolate? Who needs it! Nothing says ‘I love you’ than a full body slam. To be exact, I’ll be watching mexican wrestling. Yup, you read it correctly: mexican wrestling or luche libre.
Lucha Va-Voom will be held tomorrow night at the Mayan theater in downtown Los Angeles. The event will be complete with luchadores (both full sized and mini) and side performers. Me? I’m especially looking forward to seeing Los Gallineros (The Chickens) try to take on several opponents at once.
I don’t know how authentic the wrestling will be to actual Mexican wrestling> or to Nacho Libre (which I haven’t seen) but it’s sure to be a riot in the true sense of the word. Look for photos to come in a later post.
