I realize that a majority of the people that visit my blog are people I know in San Diego and beyond so I try to make an effort to keep them informed of what I encounter while living in Los Angeles. Imagine my surprise to see a sign posted by the mailboxes of an impending filming on my street!
The production: Toll Roads. Never heard of it. Even did an IMDB search and found nothing on it. Not knowing if it was a television show or a movie, I didn’t see any credible celebrities loitering the filming site. But it must be somewhat big since filming did encompass a three days of last week. The filming wasn’t too disruptive. They filmed as early as 9 a.m. and often lasted as late as 10 p.m. From my balcony, I could see the set up but not enough to listen to dialogue or direction.
Upon coming home one night, I did manage to walk around near the set. As usual, nothing much to see but I did run another an original Star Trek cast member walking his dog: Chekov a.k.a. Walter Koenig. At the risk of sounding like a stalker, I did follow him around the block.
A crew was shooting scenes for Veronica Mars in my neighborhood this week. I heard the actress who portrays Veronica drove by in a BMW.
