“It’s become so huge, it will eat us all!!”

Paul fell asleep and saw Robert Englund
Paul with Robert Englund aka Freddie Kruegar.

A few days ago, I starting crafting a post related to San Diego’s annual event, San Diego Comic-Con International. But I ran out of time helping Paul prepare for the show, set up his table and other obligations suited to the wife of a comic creator. And now that it officially starts tonight, I don’t have the time or energy.

Instead you can read posts from the last several years, except for 2008. And if you happen to score some tickets to the sold out show be there, I’ll probably be here — the same location we’ve been for the last 8 years.

2009 – It’s Not All About Comics

2007 – A Strange Conversation at Comic-Con (and it’s food-related)

2006 – Highlight of Thursday’s Comic-Con

2005 – You Know It’s Comic-Con Week in San Diego…

  1. Hi Darlene –
Unfortunately I won’t be going to the Con this year. It sold out so quickly and even though limited #’s of tickets were being sold recently, when I tried the site to see if there were any, they were also gone! My husband might be going this Sunday with his brother who has an extra pass. Our daughter may go too (free day for kids). If you see a 9 year old girl with a Katara (from Avatar the Last Airbender) costume, that’s her! 🙂

I remember seeing your husbands booth at past cons. I liked the title of his work, “Cool Jerk” (since it reminded me of the song). I need to check it out.

Am currently reading the 2nd volume of “Chew”. Read the 1st volume per your recommendation in a past blog. My husband likes it too.

Anyhow, have fun at the Con this year! Looking forward to your posts!
